Absorbing the mind in God while physically working in the world is Karmyog. On the other hand, physical gestures of bhakti performed when the mind is preoccupied with material concerns reflect colossal ignorance.

हरि सुत कहँ हरिदासी, जड़ माया दुख देत।
बड़ अचरज पितु लखत नित, तबहुँ न सुत सुधि लेत॥
God's servant, the inert Maya, harasses God's child. It is extremely surprising that though the father constantly observes His child, He fails to look after it!

हरि निमित्त जो पाप कर, सोऊ पुण्य कहाय।
हरि तजि जो कर पुण्य तो, आप पाप बनि जाय॥
Any action, even one that would normally be classified as a sin, is deemed a 'good deed' when done for God's sake. And any 'good deed' that is not related to God automatically becomes a 'sin'.
